Great nature reserve, and especially suitable for younger children as there are lots of opportunities to pet and feed - goats, chickens, geese - and some very loud birds. Take hand sanitiser.

Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. The place is clean, peaceful, and clearly dedicated to the well-being of its animals and birds. Every animal is well taken care of, and you can feel the love and effort that goes into maintaining such a welcoming environment. It’s a fun and family-friendly destination where kids and adults alike can enjoy a close-up experience with a variety of animals. Each visit is not only enjoyable but also educational—there’s always something new to learn about animal care, conservation, and nature. Please support this place. This is clearly a passion project from the founder and it seems all the money goes into this sanctuary. Very affordable, my boyfriend and I loved it. I wish the parrots had larger cages, but that is so expensive that the only way to fix this is to have more money. However their food bowls are filled with fruits and vegetables, and most of the cages have toys. They also have fresh water. It's very clear the money they do get is put into these animals. Loved it.

The place was so fun to explore! A really great place for families to have a great time in, there was a whole grass and shaded area plus lots of places to sit and relax while kids played and explored. We chatted with one blonde haired lady about the birds, you could tell she has so much love for them the way she treated and cared for them. She even offered me one of her feathers from one of the birds she had been waiting to collect from and thought that was absolutely sweet of her!
