Help us share the story of Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary!
Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary is seeking a Volunteer Social Media Content Creator to join our Marketing Committee. This opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys social media, photography, videography, graphic design, and storytelling and has a passion for animal welfare.
Responsibilities:
• Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms
• Capture photos and videos of sanctuary animals, volunteers, events, and behind-the-scenes activities
• Edit photos and videos for social media posts, stories, and reels
• Design occasional graphics and promotional materials using Canva
• Assist with scheduling and publishing content
• Collaborate with the Marketing Committee on content ideas and campaigns
Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar content creation tools is preferred
• Experience with social media scheduling software or a willingness to learn
• Students or individuals with backgrounds in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, public relations, or related fields are encouraged to apply
• Reliable and able to meet agreed-upon deadlines
• Passion for animals, wildlife, conservation, and nonprofit work
Time Commitment:
Approximately 6–10 hours per month, including attendance at a brief monthly virtual Marketing Committee meeting. Volunteers are asked to commit to serving on the Marketing Committee for at least six months.
Location:
Remote, with periodic visits to the sanctuary to capture content.
