Help us tell the story of Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary!
Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary is seeking a volunteer writer to join our Marketing Committee. This flexible opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys writing and storytelling with a passion for animal welfare.
Responsibilities:
• Write two articles per month for our e-newsletter (approximately 150–200 words each)
• Draft educational blog posts occasionally
• Collaborate with the Marketing Committee to brainstorm content ideas
• Assist with editing and proofreading content as needed
• Attend a brief monthly virtual Marketing Committee meeting (approximately 30–60 minutes)
Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Students or individuals with backgrounds in journalism, communications, English, marketing, public relations, or related fields are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital content writing is a plus
• Reliable and able to meet agreed-upon deadlines
• Passion for animals, wildlife, conservation, and nonprofit work
Time Commitment:
Flexible. Approximately 4–6 hours per month, including attendance at a monthly virtual Marketing Committee meeting.
